Lunger Training
Getting Started
Lungers are integral to vaulting. Having trained lungers enables clubs to conduct safe vaulting sessions. Commencing your training to be a lunger starts with gaining knowledge about horses.
In addition you can attend an Orientation to the EA Education Courses and find out more about the courses EA offers: Introductory Horse Management (IHM) and the Associate Vaulting Lunger Certificate (AVLC). Horse Management can be undertaken from 12 years of age and the Associate Vaulting Lunger Certificate from 16 years. Register for the Orientation to EA Education |
EA Associate Lunger CertificateIf you are 16 years of age then you can train to be an EA Associate Vaulting Lunger.
To register in the course, go to the Equestrian Australia website and download the EA Order Form. The form is listed under Education>Coach Resource Order Form. |
EA Official Lunger Certificate
Once you have your Associate Lunger Certificate you can train towards becoming an EA Official Vaulting Lunger. This course is based on the Level 1 Horse Management course combined with more advanced lungeing skills.
